Konuralp is built on top of the city known in antiquity as Prusias ad Hypium. Akçakoca was Diapolis, this city's port on the sea; in other words, the two places have been linked throughout history.
In the city you can see the ancient theatre, the agora and an aqueduct with 11 piers still standing. The Konuralp Museum displays archaeological and ethnographic finds from the region.

It's about 25 minutes from Akçakoca by car; on a half-day trip you can see both the ancient city and the museum.
Before you go
- Call the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism for the museum's visiting days and hours before you go.
